Health Law and Policy, A Survival Guide to Medicolegal Issues for Practitioners pdf
Description

Bryan Liang's primary goal for HEALTH LAW AND POLICY is to provide physicians with the relevant intellectual tools necessary to be able to understand and survive in the rapidly changing world of medical practice. This goal is implemented through a supplemented case approach where each theme or rule is plainly stated, one or more case illustrations are given, and relevant commentary is provided, integrating the rule and case.

To be effective, practitioners and patient advocates in this evolving health delivery system must expand their non-clinical knowledge base to encompass legal and business concerns. This book seeks to provide the foundation to allow this expansion to occur. Health Insurance Exchanges Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) pdf
Description

The fundamental purpose of a health insurance exchange is to provide a structured marketplace for the sale and purchase of health insurance. The authority and responsibilities of an exchange may vary, depending on statutory or other requirements for its establishment and structure. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA, P.L. 111-148, as amended) requires health insurance exchanges to be established in every state by January 1, 2014. ACA provides certain requirements for the establishment of exchanges, while leaving other choices to be made by the states. Qualified individuals and small businesses will be able to purchase private health insurance through exchanges. Issuers selling health insurance plans through an exchange will have to follow certain rules, such as meeting the private market reform requirements in ACA. While the fundamental purpose of the exchanges will be to facilitate the offer and purchase of health insurance, nothing in the law prohibits qualified indi Download Health Insurance Exchanges Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) for free via rapidshare, mediafire, 4shared, dropBox, uploading, fileserve

American Public Opinion and Health Care pdf
Description

This title presents objective analysis and comprehensive data on Americans' attitudes about key health-care issues. Over the years, hundreds of polls have been conducted on health and health-care related topics, but until now there has been no reference tool to help students, researchers, and policy makers make sense of the data. "American Public Opinion and Health Care" brings together findings from more than 200 national opinion surveys conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation, Harvard University's School of Public Health, and other institutes and polling and media organizations. After years of intensive data gathering, the authors have compiled an in-depth, non-partisan look at Americans' attitudes about a range of current and critical health care issues. Twenty-one chapters combine unbiased survey data and analysis. The concluding chapter discusses the implications based on public opinion trends for the future of U.S. health policy in each of the areas discussed in the preceding c Download American Public Opinion and Health Care for free via rapidshare, mediafire, 4shared, dropBox, uploading, fileserve
